This position will be responsible for driving revenue growth and increasing advertising market share through the sale of commercial time on National and Regional Cable Networks (Altice and FIOS), News 12, News 12 Traffic and Weather, Cheddar and a full suite of Digital products. Incumbent will also be responsible for generating new business opportunities all while driving client satisfaction

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for attaining/exceeding budget
  • Responsible for increasing, maintaining and acquiring new client revenue on Cable Networks (Altice and FIOS), News 12, Cheddar and digital products as well as any/all future products and services
  • Responsible for embracing, communicating and executing the mission of a4 Media
  • Canvas merchants/businesses on a daily basis to discover new advertisers
  • Identify demographic needs of advertising client (match client's needs with best advertising networks/products)
  • Develop effective advertising campaigns for customers utilizing all products/services available
  • Coordinate production of commercial between client and Production Manager to ensure its completion
  • Communicate effectively between traffic coordinators and commercial inserters to ensure proper placement of ad
  • Ensure all sales paperwork (Salesforce, Traffic confirmations, etc.) is accurate, complete and up to date
  • Collect any and all outstanding balances on advertising accounts

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 1 - 3 years of successful media sales or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of successful cold calling/prospecting, new business development and closing the sale
  • Digital/Internet Advertising Sales experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Internet terms and concepts, including social media
  • Knowledge of the local media market and local contacts
  • Track record of championing change to move business forward
  • Demonstrated use of sales reporting tools and analytics to inform business decisions
  • Strong consultative sales skills (determining client's needs, overcoming objections, recommendations, closing)
  • Strong people/relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated strong presentation and sales skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid influencing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize effectively
  • Communicate effectively with Internal/External customers
  • Must have a Valid Driver's license or reliable transportation
