POSITION SUMMARY This position is for a Access and Identity Support Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for providing application support for access and identity platforms used by NYU Langone Health employees. He/she will also work on implementing initiatives, enhancing applications and automating manual processes thereby improving productivity.
Implement patches, updates, and fixes following established change management processes.
Participate in the development and maintenance of technical infrastructure including server configuration.
Develop scripts/utilities to automate tasks.
Assess new technologies and recommend infrastructure improvements.
Assist in establishing production processes and performance objectives.
Work with development team on code promotions and configuration.
Manage application performance, including response, throughput, and availability.
Provide support for enterprise access and identity platforms while effectively communicating issues and providing guidance to other technical teams driving issue resolution.
Deploy and manage infrastructure in multiple data centers.
Interface with developers to understand requirements and deliver timely support. Troubleshoot problems that involving applications, database, and network.
Apply appropriate tools to analyze, identify, and resolve technical problems.
Provide after hours support as needed.
Linux and/or Windows server administrationAccess and Identity Management solutions (Oracle Identity & Access, ADFS, Shibboleth)
Web and application server administration (Tomcat, WebLogic)
Database and SQL knowledge is a plus
Knowledge of Cloud and Dev Ops technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Gitlab) is a plus
Experience working with monitoring tools (Nagios, Grafana, Oracle Enterprise Manager)
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Proven strong analytical and trouble shooting skills
Detail oriented, flexible and thrives in a team-oriented environment
Organized, responsive and highly thorough problem solver
B.S. in Computer Science or related field
