Reports To: Store Manager

Summary: In the absence of the Store Sales Manager, theresponsibility of the Co-Store Sales Manager is to manage the operations and tomaximize sales and profitability within the store to which they are assigned.

Responsible for the Supervision of: ASMs, TeamLeaders and Sales Associates

Essential Functions of the Position: The following are the essential functions ofthe position of Co-Store Sales Manager. The following, while comprehensive, isnot totally inclusive of all the duties that may be assigned to the Co-Store SalesManager by the Company. The Company reserves the right to change the essentialfunctions of this position at any time.

  • Responsible for thedevelopment of action plans that drive sales based on the strategies developedby the Store Sales Manager, the District Sales Manager or the Company.
  • Accountable for maximizingsales and profits within their store.
  • Accountable for the higheststandards in customer service, sales training, merchandising, inventorycontrol, and store maintenance within their store.
  • Responsible for the training ofTeam Leaders on how to best manage people for maximum results.
  • Responsible for participatingin the yearly evaluation of the Team Leaders and Associates through theCompanys Annual Performance Appraisal Process.
  • Responsible for makingrecommendations regarding salary increases, tied to performance evaluations,promotional opportunities, and merit increases.
  • Responsible for theinterviewing, hiring, and salary recommendations for the Team Leaders andAssociates within their store.
  • Responsible for adaptingvisual merchandising guidelines and standards to their store.
  • Responsible for the assignmentof work for the Team Leaders and Associates working in their store.
  • Responsible for therecommendation of disciplinary action (up to and including termination) ofnon-performers working within their store.
  • Responsible for managing salesincentive contest within the guidelines set by the Company within their store.
  • Responsible for discussingproduct needs with the Store Sales Manager and District Sales Manager for theirstore.
  • Responsible for helping the StoreSales Manager, in meeting their stores operating budget by ensuring payrollhours, wage dollars and scheduling guidelines are used to meet their storesstaffing and payroll hours.
  • Accountable for protecting theCompanys assets by understanding and following inventory and managementcontrols.
  • Responsible for managingexternal vendors that might be assigned to perform work within their stores.
  • Responsible for representingthe Company at Labor Department inquiries as directed by the Human ResourcesDepartment.
