We incorporate more than sixty years of industrial valve expertise and over 120 years of metallurgical and manufacturing experience into each product line.

We are looking to add an additional Outside Sales - Territory Manager to our team!

Territory: West Coast. Travel 50-60%.

This position exists specifically to call on customers and strategic national accounts and sell and promote our products and services to engineers, facility and operations managers, project managers, purchasing companies, and other related project influencers and decision makers.

Main Duties:

  • Provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment, and systems of work for self and all employees, and to participate in training as needed for this purpose.
  • Building the business within the territory using a variety of sales techniques.
  • Targeting potential customers and assessing opportunities for sales.
  • Analyzing competitor activities in the region and assessing opportunities for business development.
  • Networking with businesses in the territory and building relationships.
  • Attending relevant industry events and conferences to build business.
  • Working closely with sales, engineering, operations, and field service to meet customer needs.
  • Manages existing and develops new independent rep agencies
  • Responsible for regular reporting on area sales performance and KPIs
  • Putting together sales strategies to target large accounts
  • Travel 50-75% of time

Key Accountabilities:

  • Meet or exceed annual order and revenue plans, which contribute to company profit and growth objectives
  • Generate new business opportunities by:
  • Increasing share by developing relationships and credibility and collaborating with other sales team members on sales strategies.
  • Consistently identifying new business opportunities at existing and potential customers to ensure sustained profitable growth.
  • Evaluating and managing strategic business opportunities, initiatives and sales programs independently and with rep partners
  • Ensure excellence in account management by:
  • Developing and executing sales plans and methodologies for key accounts and/or major projects that are linked to the organization's market objectives and strategies.
  • Spend time with rep sales force to identify and develop relationships with the key decision-makers, uncovers new business opportunities, recommend differentiated solutions, negotiate and win the business and provide post-sale support.
  • Requirements:
  • Relative experience in manufacturing settings, Sales expertise, Problem Solving/Analysis, Strong Worth Ethic, Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills, and Strong Business Acumen
  • Years of Experience: Minimum 3 - 5 years
