General Manager - The Pod Hotels

The General Manager is responsible for managing the hotel's Executive Team and overall hotel targets.

Responsibilities



  • Oversee the operations functions of the hotel. including front office, housekeeping, engineering, and security.

  • Prepare and execute the hotel's annual Operating Budget.

  • Work closely with Revenue Management team on achieving budgeted revenues and profit margins while adhering to established objectives, policies, and procedures.

  • A strong understanding of P&L statements with the ability to react strategically.

  • Ensure full compliance to hotel operating controls, SOPs, and standards. Expert ability to manage, delegate, and lead hotel staff and management.

  • Lead all key property issues including RFPs, vendor management, and capital projects.

  • Act as?liaison with F&B partner.

  • An active leadership role in guest interaction; ensure guest complaints are resolved and that appropriate service recovery gestures are made.

  • Promote teamwork and quality service through rigorous communication and coordination with all departments and upper management / ownership.

  • Act as a brand ambassador.

  • A minimum of five years experience as a General Manager or Operations Manager in the New York City Market.

  • A strong understanding of variety of software and platforms including Opera (PMS), Excel, GDS, and OTA partners.
